Sebastian Thiel Wins Unltd Award

Sebastian Thiel was fortunate to walk into the new year smiling with an award of £7000 from Unltd to help boost Upshot to the next level.

Earlier on this year he launched the the new Unltd award in Leicester Square with Miles Templeman (Director General of IoD), Cliff Prior (UnLtd CEO) and Doug Richard (Dragons Den)

Sebastian has many plans for this year, so keep on the look out for the new projects, clothing and entertainment!

Sebastian Thiel 30 Under 30's Finalist

Sebastian was nominated at the 30 under 30 London talent awards. He was put in the Social enterprise category which was Awarding the drive behind particularly outstanding social or environmental initiatives within London. The Awards ceremony was held at London Hilton with an after party at  Whisky mist. Being the youngest person nominated he was more then happy going home as a finalist. Upshot win the Big Challenge

The Big Challenge is a competition for 16 to 25 who have an original campaign idea that will have a big impact and make a difference. Aiming to Cre8 a culture to replace gang culture, Upshot went on to receive the largest share of the votes and as a result were awarded the highest sum of money amongst the Big Challenge winners.The winners were awarded part of the £60,000 prize fund to tackle this year’s challenge. Upshot win Mini Mogul

Its Upshot pitched their business idea to a panel of adjudicators as part of enterprise week 2008, and were awarded £1,500 after beating keen competition! The brand new TV style show called MINI MOGUL was launched and is supported by the Youth Opportunities Fund (YOF). Young entrepreneurs age 13-19 were given the opportunity to pitch their business ideas and walk away with a cash investment of up to 3,000 pounds! Upshot used this video below as the 3minute pitch to win over the judges!
